ワイヤレスで給電する技術は非接触充電とも呼ばれ、これまでもその特性を利用して電動歯ブラシや携帯電話、マウス、はたまた人工心臓の充電のような用途に使われていますけど、今回のは電磁場の共鳴を利用した方法で強結合共振器を使用します。
MITの物理学者（Marin Solja i氏のチームによるものか）の理論に元に開発されたこの技術により、将来は 部屋に居ながらにして様々なガジェットの充電が行えるようになるそうです。しかも同じ非接触型でも電磁誘導給電などに比べて格段に効率がよくなるそうで 今後楽しみな技術ですね。
